Rusty Belicek is a DJ and producer best known as one half of All Good Funk Alliance (AGFA), the duo he formed with his production partner Frank after the two met in a Northern Virginia community-college music-business program. Raised in Oklahoma and moving between there, the DC area and Texas, he came up through DC's rave, after-hours and club scenes, later carving out a mid-tempo, breaky sound that record stores struggled to file until the downtempo wave arrived alongside acts like Fort Knox 5 and Thievery Corporation.
With Frank driving the engineering, AGFA released on their own imprints including Funk Weapons, cutting tracks like the fan-favorite "Swing the South." Semi-regular nights at DC's 18th Street Lounge and a memorable slot opening for James Brown built his reputation as a versatile opener and closer.
He helped kick-start the ghetto-funk movement, trading ideas with producers like Featurecast, and now lives in Lake Tahoe, DJing, running a Patreon and working a day job.
